Bio-Mechanical War?

So I had an idea for a war what if a few empire or alliances got a hold of bio-mechanical technology (you know like creating life forms like transformer) and used them in a war, or they new bio-mechanical beings rebelled against their creators. What do you guys think? Should there be a war? Who should it be against? What should we call the bio-mechanical being? Who should start the War?
